(TSX / STATS) -- MILWAUKEE -- Jose Quintana threw a complete game shutout and Ben Zobrist belted a two-run home run as the Chicago Cubs crept closer to clinch the National League Central Division crown with a 5-0 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday afternoon at Miller Park.

Quintana (7-3), the Cubs' prized midseason acquisition, struck out 10 batters and allowed just three hits and a walk against the Brewers.

He had made two eight-inning starts for the White Sox to start the season but hadn't worked more than 7 1/3 innings since moving to the North Side. He had just one previous complete game, coming on July 24, 2015.
